For over 17 years, Lane has represented franchisors in business transactions and complex litigation including matters related to trademark and copyright infringement, franchise development, and regulatory issues. Lane has also litigated the enforcement of franchise agreement obligations on behalf of franchisors, including non-competition covenants, collections, under-reporting and encroachment claims. Lane is a frequent speaker at franchise conferences, has written extensively on franchise-related issues and appeared on CN8 and CNN-fn. Lane is a member of the International Franchise Association’s Board of Directors and its Franchise Business Network Task Force.
Education
Lane is a graduate of American University’s Washington College of Law (J.D. 1989).
Lane also holds a B.B.A. in finance (1985) and an M.B.A. in international business (1986) from George Washington University.
